Al di la’ dell’orizzonte
In December 2021, my first book “Al di lä dell orizzonte” was published. Born from the pages of my personal travel journey, the book mirrors the feeling, the emotions and the adventures of the travel around of the world which my partner Alex and I undertook from April 2019 for one year.
A travel, a journey where I learnt not only amazing new culture and places, but also I had to explore the deepest part of my persona, my soul and my roots. Together with Alex, we embarked on a journey which made us discover who we are. We did not come with all the answers, but for sure with the right questions, the ones which make our life purposeful…

Plot
Marta had it all. Or at least that was the impression “from the outside.” Home, well-established job, friends and closest affections. Yet she felt that something big, something strong was missing in her life.
“What did I really want from life? I knew the answer: socratically, I did not know. But something had to change. I wanted to begin again to feel, to dream, to look forward to getting up to live a new day.”
And so, after many evenings of confrontation, Marta and Alex, her partner, decided it was time to leave everything behind. To go on a trip around the world.
“The fear was so great. Are we going to make it? Are we really going to leave our jobs too? The questions that crowded our minds were as treacherous as a minefield. Yet, the secret was simple: realize that everything changes in life. We do not decide to espouse a brand or a lifestyle, rather we decide to embrace values that will then go on to form what is the most beautiful experiment in the world: our existence. Too often we are focused on our own path and think, influenced by others, that we should follow certain paths, make certain decisions that are ‘normal.’ But what could be more normal than listening to one’s heart? Life, just like a journey, is a collection of experiences, of people, of mosaics of emotions that are part of adventure and make us who we are.”
